We often find that knowing a bit about how you go to sleep and what might happen often makes it less scary.
Here are some videos to help explain what is going to happen when you come in for your operation. There's also a tick as you go picture, you can put it on the fridge after to show how well you did!
This photo is of Finn. He did really well for his anaesthetic. He even put his Frog off to sleep the next day at home! I hear the Frog was pretty brave too.
Finn was given the sleeping medicine through the mask he is using for his Frog. You can choose a nice flavour to put in your mask just like he did.
Some children want to have a needle. This is fine as we put numbing cream on everyones hands just in case they want the needle not the mask.
